absolutley, the obsession with getting the more physically superior youngsters and trying to improve there technique as opposed to getting youngsters with natural ability is shocking and happens in most youth academies that i know of locally. it's a shambles to be honest and something really needs to be done
just look at kaka, one of the best players in the world, who was a very week youngster (with a growth deficiency) who was stuck with due to his amazing natural ability and look at him now hardly week or slow . but would he have been spotted and taken on in an english youth academy ?
