There's no "context" given by the rest of that article that's stops that being a nonsensical statement. If anything, he's only making it because he wants to find another example to back up his point.

If you compare their relevant international records (where the men are really sorted out from the boys) its pretty clear that the statement about Adebayor is incorrect, and he is actually better, not as good as, Rooney.
