| I've seen them 3 times and never been impressed, one other time I went to their gig I left after the support act, not that fussed by them. Cavorting was a very average song without much substance. When I first heard Acrylic I absolutely hated it, but not it's become quite catchy, so maybe I'm coming round to them, still think they're trying too hard to be The Libertines and just writing music to that formula because they need it'll make them somewhat successful (they got signed virtually as soon as they got together so it's working for them).
Also they've always struck me as slightly twattish, both before they had the band and even more so now that they're getting somewhere.

I like let's dance to joy division but I'm unsure whether it's actually any good or just a good novelty song, kill the director was ok but not great. Don't think I know, or at least remember the other one. I'll wait and see what their next single is like.

| You're joking right? Saw them 2 years back, and they didn't impress me.
Mate of mine saw them a few months back, called them an Arctic Monkeys tribute band, which they didn't like one smidge. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Seen them a few dozen times by now tbf, they are really really good, blatantly gonna make it.
And if sounding like Arctic Monkeys is a bad thing.... </BLOCKQUOTE>
It's not, but when your mantra is to imitate, not innovate, then what's the point?
I gave them a chance at the time, and they were nothing special imo. No idea if they've improved any in the two years since though.

I dont dislike Cherry Ghost, but i dont really like them either... i'll listen to Los Campesinos eventually.
You should check out The Decemberists btw, in a loosely similar vain to The New Pornographers
