Idiakez would be brilliant, a bit of class and creativity with the added bonus of a threat from set pieces. Seemed keen on staying with us and doesn't seem to have a future at Soton so fingers crossed!
I wouldn't have minded keeping Birch either, certainly not first choice anymore but so far we have let him and Lomas go and we are deep in the brown stuff if Bolder gets injured. Not sure what i make of Stefan Bailey, good tackle on him but not consistant and probably won't make the grade.
Both Gallen and Birch seemed to get hounded out for being ollie's cronies rather than for their lack of ability. As long as Gregory replaces them adequately i'm fine with that but the squad has gone from being bloated with rubbish to being perilously thin in places.

Birch was proof how endeavour and bluster can hide a wealth of weaknesses. Gallen whilst always being a QPR favourite couldn't find a position in the team which he could make his own.
Was he a winger, a midfielder, did he sit behind the forwards or was he a foil up front?
If we can sort out a Chelsea tie in again then that would be brilliant.
The next Carlton Cole would be nice, although I though Smith was excellent.
Oh and a keeper, a midfielder who can pass, shoot and generally not look out of place in a Championship game and a £5m investment should do us fine.

| We where not even dark horses when we won the league, so anything is possible.

We need to buy Marshall, a quality centre back, and a strong, energetic midfield player (to put pressure on Etuhu) as well as Sharp to be challenging.
A team of:
Marshall
Otsemobor
*New*/Doherty
Shackell
Drury
Chadwick/Croft
Etuhu
Safri
Huckerby
Earnshaw
Sharp
Bench:
Gallacher
Hughes/Colin
*New*/Fotheringham/Lappin
Croft/Chadwick
Brown/Martin/Dublin
Come on PG, do the business

Aye, £4m a bit too high.
And btw, Quote: |
Burnley boss Steve Cotterill has been handed a £10m budget thanks to wealthy director Brendan Flood. (Daily Star)
