I'd be very surprised if Argyle are anywhere near the bottom. Olly's teams rarely struggle.

6 good signings in so far I think apart from Jimmy Nielsen actually who I don't know much about.

Tell me about this lad Lafferty.

I've heard a whisper
Last time clubs were sniffing around him Cotterill said he wouldn't go for any less than £6 million. I doubt anyone's prepared to pay that kind of money for him. He's got bags of potential, but he hasn't even proved himself at championship level yet. I can see why premiership clubs might be sniffing around and keeping tabs on him, but to sign him at this point would be a risk for any premier league club, and I think that last thing Wigan need at this point is a risk. </BLOCKQUOTE>
That's what he said? £6m? Cotterill, jeeez man.
You can tell he's a class act though. It'll end in a Glen Little situation where we fail to sell him for millions and end up letting him go for peanuts. £5m Little was once rated We let him go for free

I wish QPR would hurry up and make some signings, a keeper at least! But realistically I know that what will happen is all the other Championship and rich league 1 clubs will take their pick of the players available cheap/free/on loan and then QPR will get out our barrel scraper and pick out the best we can from the dregs…

Rumours of Cook to Derby for £4 million plus Camp in return seem to be more hopeful than factual to me.

Also Colchester can FO making pathetic bids for Ray Jones, if the right bid comes in £750K+ he may well go somewhere but not making a sideways step to a team like Colchester!

it was reported by the media and cotterill confirmed interest. we may not have actually bid £1million but we definately registered interest incase you coudlnt come up with the money.

as for lafferty, no chance of him going for less than £4million with sell on clauses imo.

Can't see £4m for Cook myself. I'd take it if it happened though. Need a keeper as you say, and I love Cookie but we need the money.

Jones Jr has been rubbish since he got his contract, but Colchester's bid's are indeed a bit of a p*ss-take.

As you say Jones has been rubbish for the second half of the season but remember it was his first full season in the main squad. He is only 18, has bags of potential and if he fixes his attitude can easily top the 6 goals he scored last season. We already need an additional striker to partner Dex and if we sell Jones we’ll be left with just Nygard, Baidoo and Moore (if you can call the last 2 strikers…) and only a paltry to fee to buy 2 new strikers!

Lee Camp please, plus a few more cheap but good signings like Bolder and Cullip and can if Chelsea can loan us Jimmy, Macienne and Sinclair that would be great…

Haha Leicester champions.

This will be Cov's year! Probably not.

Happy with Dimi signing on a free, the greek keeper from Hartlepool. Robbie Simpson from Cambridge supossed to be decent. Potentially Gary Borrowdale too. Looks like we have a manager who is actually building a decent squad unlike Adams who last year signed anything that moved.

I was hoping we might pick up Idiakez tbh. Seemed to do a job and played well for Saints in the play-off when off the bench. They don't seem to want him.

And yeah, Jones Jr is young. Just didn't like the way he was making sounds to move, then gets a better contract, then plays like a donkey. wish we'd kept gallen as I'd be happy with him and Dex starting, and Jones off the bench (Nygaard if he stays fit).

And I'm not sure about Smith. I was under the impression Chelsea were letting him go, but Gregory seemed reluctant to play him for the final third of the season. Not exactly sure why considering Bircham was crocked (another player I wish we'd have kept hold of).
