Bit extreme surely?
| it is 1m, though still seems alot. especially when on monday burley said we were close to admin unless we sold players earlier in the summer then today we buy what seems to be an average championship defender for 1m. my club is very confusing! |

Burnley replace Thomas with Clarke Carlisle.
Never seems to have settled at a club after he left us. Think that's Leeds, Watford and now Burnley in the space of four seasons.

gahaha, getting £1.2million for thomas and then signing carlisle for £200k just about the best piece of business i have seen. not only have we finally got a defender with pace but we have sold a defender who is quite possibly the most rash footballer i have ever seen. iirc he has been sent off twice for head butts, once for a ridiculous professional foul and once for an elbow in the short time we have had him.
needless to say im more than happy

I have been thinking about the squad that Peter Grant is putting together and its starting to look like quite a strong squad, we will hopefully be pushing for the play offs with a couple more signings.

| I'm not, he would have been an excellent backup for DeMerit and Shittu when they go away for internationals. Matt Jackson so far has not impressed.
Carlise does occasionally suffer from lack on concentration but he'd be a great leader on the field for you guys.

I always really rated Carlisle, his career just got slightly derailed by a cruciate ligment injury and the alcoholism! Then a move to Leeds when they were all over the place was a bad idea too...
He might well start to live up to his potential at Burnley. Ability wise i would have had him back at QPR like a shot but i can never forgive the fact he left us on a Bosman after we nursed him through an 18 month injury and alcoholism!
