He wouldn't have needed to if you guys had paid the market rate for him.

doherty has just completely fallen off since you bought him. unlucky, he was the best player in league one before he left us.

Ainsworth is still injured, i'd expect to start with Moore on the right (aaargh), Bolder and Bailey in the centre and Rowlands on the left.

Cottager, Cook knows it was only a small minority of idiots who abused him and everyone else appreciates what he has done for the club, even if we aren't thrilled by his choice to join Fulham it's understandable.

I think the deal's worth 4m if he plays a season's worth of games for us, and I don't think you could've expected much more than that

Doherty played well for us for about half of his first season but has not had a look in since. This could be a big second chance for him if he wants it, just not convinced he is bothered.

Cook knows we have idiots. Think he realises 99% of fans think he's great.

I don't think Fulham paid the rate, but considering the amount they started off with, we did fairly well. Wish we'd taken their laughable offer for Jones Jr though. Was a stupidly low offer from them (again), but with hindsight we could have done with the cash.

Forgot Gareth was still out

Doherty is an able pro who will do a job for us.
It is when you look at the other players around that I get a bit worried.

nah, see the problem with doherty is that he isn't a pro, he's an alcoholic, and that's why we wanted rid of him. he was ruining the team spirit

Heres the great Ian Holloway's views on the new season. I hope he's right with his automatic promotion predictions...

Well Doherty isn't match fit (even by his standards) for another month anyway, so it looks like this is Bailey's chance to stake a claim for a regular first team place.

Stefan did OK against Fulham and gets around the pitch well but his passing worries me.
