Right then, problem #2

The front windscreen wiper doesn't work at all now, any ideas, or am I destined for a rather expensive repair bill?

Could possibly be either the electric - fuse? or the motor is dead. One is cheap, the other is not!

The rear wiper still works just not the front.

Probably means the motor

It is, but I'm assuming a snapped wiper arm probably isn't covered, although I'll probably get the motor fixed under the warranty.

Vauxhall just quoted me £91 labour to replace the arm and £25 for the parts, Rip off merchants.

Sometimes the front and back wiper circuits are seperate so it could still be a fuse. If it is the motor then you're looking at an expensive repair bill

How expensive, hoping to get it fixed under the warranty anyway?

One arm ?

Go to a scrapyard, iirc.

I had a wiper problem with my Corsa recently, cost £30 to have the linkage replaced - including labour. It was similar to what you've described in that the front wipers just stopped working, although you could still hear the motor trying to move.

Best just to take it to a local reputable garage for them to have a look at.
