Interview With A Cannibal - Channel 5 - Now

Armin Meiwes looks like a perfectly ordinary, well-spoken 40-something man, but in March 2001 he killed a man he'd met over the internet and then ate parts of his willing victim's body. And he videoed it all. Nearly three years later the self-confessed cannibal was found guilty of manslaughter, not murder. Subsequently the case was retried, and this time Meiwes was convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. This documentary tells his life story and examines his motives, through testimony from friends, his lawyer and an in-depth interview with the cannibal himself. And it is Meiwes's matter-of-fact manner as he describes in gruesome detail the diabolical evening when he butchered his victim, Bernd Brandes, which is the most chilling part of this documentary. It perhaps goes without saying that you need a very strong stomach indeed to watch this programme through to the end.

Looks quite fun and interesting.
