Well yeah, but I dont really mind being 30 mins behind those lot for English news. Where I feel it can get ahead is via the international arena.

I'm up for this, I need to do some voluntary stuff if I'm going to get anywhere in journalism. I'll do Coventry City if it hasn't already been taken.

I would be more than happy to write match reports on Man United and have been a season ticket holder for over 10 years now so would be at the majority of home matches and watch the rest on T.V.

You'd think that would'nt you? But the fact is we're starting from ground zero. But hey, lets face it, the tabloidish writing style of Planetfootball is hardly going to challange Robert Fisk is it? I'm assuming (perhaps wrongly) that anybody with a command of English can write in that style. We'll vet it through MS Word ofc

Of course. My cousin started a career in footie journalism completely through writing for his irish sports website.

thepeoplesmag :/

Voluntary contribution on websites doesn't work. Too many staff operations out there to put you in the shade.

Lads, bear in mind, I dont mind having more than one hack per league/club whatever. The likelyhood is people will find it too much hassle eventually, so having somebody to split the work with will certainly help.
