I'm using a Zen Touch 20GB myself. It's already over 2 years old and works like a charm. Only had to replace the earphones last week. Got some nice 'in ear' ones, they're sweet.

Cheers for your help. Think its between the Creative Zen 4GB or the Nano 4GB. Probably the Zen is winning because it has a radio included.

Do you have to convert songs you download from itunes to put it on another mp3 player though?

Mine is a Iriver T10 or something like that. Small, cheap (compared to ipod).

The best advice I can give you, is to get one that will run off one battery, and that you then get a rechargeable battery kit.
