Sorry for inadvertently hijacking your thread.
I think your idea sounds lovely, but I'm not sure X-mas and Valentine's presents can be split.
As The Rafalution says - you should get her something for Xmas Day too.
And you should work on presenting an attractive package so that she's really looking forward to it, as Neil Purvis suggests. Maybe hide the tickets in a bunch of flowers.
You could cut out the relevant parts of the brochure and mount them in card, and slip it in a big box of chocs perhaps.
If you give her the trip as a Xmas present, I would say you definitely have to do something extra on VDay too.
