I'm actually doing research, and it appears that first-year analysts here can expect to make $105,000-$145,000 a year. that's on par with starting salaries at big law firms for associates, which surprised me.

Basic salary about £35k. Signing on bonus of £5k.
Then bonus of upto 100% of salary.
So about £75k max. Most I guess will be in the range of £50k-£60k.
Can't speak for law firms, think my mate will be on about £36k when he starts next year after his LPC. Will be on a fair bit more when he qualifies as a solicitor which is another two years I think.
Both outstrip me quite considerably as an accountant :thdn:
