Well, not really but when you say 'good night out' you are implying visiting a bar. If i had no intention of drinking i dont think i'd bother visiting a bar tbh. Night out doing something else other than visiting a bar then sure.
Anyway, you can always go out and not get totally mullered so as to not feel so terrible the next day

My last night out without booze must have been well over ten years ago. Drinking just belongs to it, I bet not drinking would be crap, but I'm not even going to try it tbh.

i can get by just fine without alcohol if i'm seeing a band or dj i love. if not, i find it pretty essential.

Every single classic night out i reminise about with my mates always involves nights involving copious alcohol consumption. So I guess te answer woulod be...dont need it, as in an addiction but nights are a lot more fun than goin out soberas a judge.
Nothing worse than bein sober and stuck with a load of complete pi$$heads!!
Get slightly more wasted at uni rather than at home, so guess it depends what social environment im in.
