New Explosions in the Sky CD = new post-rock thread
The old thread was locked due to inactivity, so unless a mod wants to unlock the old one, this can be the new place to discuss the latest releases and shows.
As the title says, a new EITS CD is out and is amazing. I've listened to it a few times now and am really enjoying it. I've yet to listen to the bonus remix disc, but even without it the album is superb. Anybody else pick it up yet?
I also managed to see Red Sparowes for the first time on Wednesday and was blown away, as expected. Easily one of the best post-rock bands around. They played for about an hour and a half, fitting in pretty much every song I wanted to hear.
I will be seeing EITS for the first time next month, so am really looking forward to that as well.

I saw Caspian with This Will Destroy You a few months ago and was mightily impressed. I purchased an EP at the show that I've listened to quite a bit recently. They are preparing another tour again, so hopefully will get to make it out to that.
I'll have to give the other bands you mentioned a listen. Do they have myspace pages?

went to see Red Sparowes last year and they were class, not usually my sort of thing, but I've started listening to stuff like Pelican, Isis, ETIS and that probably because my mate likes them
going to go and see ETIS in April, just have to book the ticket and Pelican with These Arms Are Snakes is the day before, should be
