Mine was the scandal surrounding Ben Johnson. Was that 1990 iirc? Remember all the tv coverage and asking my dad what had happened. Would have been 4. Next memory is Senna winning the Monaco grand prix with Mansell up his arse for the last few laps, distinctly remember them going into the chicane after the tunnel .

Falling off my bike on Xmas morning. Fell onto a car, didn't end too well.
Didn't end well for my dad either, he was supposed to be looking after me.

My 3rd birthday.
I remember quizzing my parents as to why they'd put Batman on with Sesame Street characters.

I remember coming downstairs to have my photo taken with our old dog. My mother swears I couldn't possibly remember this as the dog was put down just before I was 2 but I do remember it.
Also remember pulling a wooden snoopy toy that had 4 uneven, rugby-ball shaped wheels round the floor and the dog chasing it as it bobbed up and down.
My parents confirm the snoopy toy existed but can't remember the photo. I'm sure it happened though.

Let's have a think.
I can vaguely remember my dad lifting me up over his head and smiling on the driveway near where I used to live. No idea how old I was but I've always considered this my earliest memory.
Quite interesting to think about what my earliest clear memory is, a memory that I can pinpoint and know when it was. I'm not sure if I've ever done this. I can remember the fall of the Berlin Wall. I remember sitting on the floor in the living room and seeing it on television, a crane at night taking apart a big old wall that was covered in graffiti. I'd imagine I was told at the time that it was a significant event. Berlin Wall fell in late 1989 so I'd have been 3 and a half then.
After that there's nothing that clear until the death of my grandfather, which was in 1991 or 1992. Can't remember any of Italia 90 or Thatcher leaving.
Perhaps I'll be the oldest person in the world to be able to remember the end of Communism in Europe
