I want a PSP for christmas and the better half said she wants to buy it for me. Now the questions are

1. When did the slim version come out was it this year?
2. Is there a "new" version rumoured to be coming out like a psp 2 that would reduce the cost of the current ones

2) Slim version was the newer one afaik, there have been rumours of an newer one for over 18 months.

cool - thanks guys. I would assume though that any new ones wouldnt come out for a fair while so the compatability issue of games wouldnt be an issue. Was just hoping for the price to come down.

I see they all retail at 129.99 for the base pack. Any idea how much the original ones retailed for

Thought they were £180, but must have been more than that then if BBB got paid that only last year.

Most websites seem to be selling the slim - on its own - for 129.99. So seems to be quite good then.

The girlfriend just concerned that a new one will come out the day after she buys it and they will stop making games for the current one

its a rubbish system, not a single must have title for it, everybody I know has gotten bored of theirs after a while, no matter how much they said they wouldnt, including me. Get a DS instead
