We play in the London Powerleague nearish Old Street and Liverpool St Tube stations, we always seem to be struggling for players.
It's been even worse this season, we've been promoted and so far we've played two out of six games as either us or the other side haven't maanged to get a team together.
Doesn't help our games are scheduled anytime between 5:45 and 9:30, at least a bit of bloody consistancy would be nice.
If I were working in London, I'd love to play. Liverpool St would be where I get my train home.
We ought to keep a five-a-side thread alive in case people need players or challenges?
I play 6 a side Tuesday evening which I organise, last night one of the lads claimed he could play at 7 but had a meal at 8 so couldnt play our 8pm game, I told him to feck off, its blatently his missis being a tit!
One of our other lads has played 2 games this season, always seems to be "injured"
Then you get the lads that "dont want to play at that time"
It really gets my back up does this, I missed a West Brom home game and a couple of nights out with other friends to play down there. I know Tuesdays is my 6 a side night so I dont make plans!
Top of the table clash tonight and three players have dropped out. Had to bring in two other players and now only have 5 and no sub. It is going to be a long game, especially as our best player is not playing.

I organsie a team in the Liverpool Street league as well and I run a basic 5 man team with an additional 3 or 4 players I can call on if I need someone to help out.
nbrocky - They have a "Bosman Board" of people wanting to play who are not affiliated to any one team and I have had to use that on a few occasions to make up the numbers.
We have the same problem with the seven a side team I play for on Wednesday nights.
New season starts tonight, we've lost four players since the back end of last season, went from second to third from bottom in the last six games due to just begging anyone to come and play.
Played a few friendlies in recent weeks with a few people filling in who all seem really inept at anything except breathing.
Not looking forward to see who've got roped in to help us out tonight, I know at least one player isn't turning up because he's injured ever week...either that or he can't find the five jumpers he wears underneath the shirt.

What day/night do you play? </BLOCKQUOTE>
We play in the Weds night league, we've got a really crap team name too (don't blame me) it's FCUK. I'm not even totally sure what league we're in now as a fair few teams have been dropping out.

We play in the Monday night league and we were concerned about the number of vacancies. On Monday this week I raised this with them and them say that they have now filled all the vacancies for Monday night - which they seem to have done.
I agree about the kick off times - the 9.30 time is a real pain - nobody looks forward to it.
i play a tuesday 7 a side team and you can have a maximum of 14 players registered, after a while if 1/2 people keep letting you down it's a real pain........i love to run my team "Goodfellas" but it can be such a chore getting people in at times...solid core of 5 never let me down but always get one or two
