Sounds like you need a brutal change of direction. If you have a masters but can't do anything, quit your job and take anything. You're obviously a smart lad to have that qualification. Say yes to any offer.

No i mean people pay you to go to an office and work on their equipment just copying data from a sheet onto the computer and they will pay you £14k a year to do it.
I'm sorry but if working for the family is driving you to consider killing yourself then its time to get out.

why not just quit your job and sign on? all the free time you could ever want, and the government picks up your tab for rent and various other things if you ask them nicely.
it's not being a bum, it's a lifestyle choice.
