He could make Ronaldinho actually score a free kick for the Seleção by saying "Senta o dedo nessa porra!"

Al-Jazeera's article on Brazil's game: Quote:
Brazil defend goalless draw
Brazil were held to a 0-0 draw by Columbia in Bogota in their opening match of the South American World Cup qualifying process for South Africa 2010.
From the moment Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar was booked for time-wasting in the 44th minute, it was clear the visitors would happily settle for a draw, and this was emphasised when coach Dunga replaced striker Vagner Love with defensive midfielder Josue in the 70th minute of the match.
Brazil gave away 23 free kicks in a match where they defended for much of the time with seven or eight men, and with playmakers Kaka and Ronaldinho isolated and subdued, Agustin Julio, Colombia goalkeeper was troubled only twice.
While beautiful football failed to flow on the pitch, there was a flood of excuses in the Brazil dressing-room afterwards.
Dunga and his players blamed the journey to Bogota, the crowd, the pitch, the weather and the altitude, among other things, for their team's lacklustre display, after arriving in the Colombian capital after a six-hour flight from Rio de Janeiro in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Sunday's match, at 2,600 metres above sea level, was delayed for 45 minutes by a downpour of rain.
"Considering that we were playing away from home, at high altitude, on a heavy pitch, it was a reasonable start to the qualifiers," said Dunga.
"We didn't sleep well last night and we had to wait two hours to get out of the airport when we arrived."
Significantly, Brazil's best player was goalkeeper Cesar, who capped his performance with a world class save to tip over Wason Renteria's header in the first half.
Kaka not on a high
Colombia, fielding an inexperienced team formed mostly of players who had been promoted from the under-20 team, played some slick football in midfield and refused to be intimidated by their big name opponents.
However even when not stopped by Brazil's repeated fouling, Colombia could not find a way past the visitors' blanket defence.
"I don't like to talk about it, but the altitude hampered us," Kaka, Brazil midfielder, complained.
"I'm not satisfied with the result. A draw is never a good result for Brazil."
Brazil still have 17 matches to play in the World Cup qualifiers, a competition which takes two years to complete.
Their next match is against Ecuador at the Maracana on Wednesday and the players know that there can be no excuses then. | Quotes: Quote:

Kaka,
Brazil midfielder | Dunga ended up saying many of the same things I said just after the game ended. |

Now, Liverpool/Chelsea supporters can say the famous it’s just like watching Brazil...
| Not even Barcelona would be able to play pretty football in Bogotá conditions. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Barça wouldn’t accept a draw though.

How do you think we should have played yesterday? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Like Brazil? I know the altitude doesn’t help but it isn’t about the altitude, it is about the attitude (ie replacing a striker for a defensive midfielder).
FM related: Shouldn’t Lulinha have Barça as his favourite club?
I’m saying this because apparently (haven’t seen it, the show titulares) he said that Barça is his dream and Ronaldinho and Kaká are his favourite players.
I know many players say it but I think it’s not the first time he claims it and he isn’t saying it because Barça are after him.
BTW, Alex Teixeira said the same, didn’t he? ALL the Brazilians have the same dream
PS: Please, stop talking about Capitão Nascimento because I can’t watch it yet, have to wait till January, <STRIKE>or not</STRIKE>...

We played like Brazil. The new Brazil (1990 onwards).
And we don't really have (good) strikers at this moment.
The connection between the midfielders and the players upfront also need to be improved. It's hard for the strikers to do anything when the barely touch the ball.
I will add Barcelona to his list, but with a low rating. He did say that a couple of times.
Alex Teixeira said that too. But pretty much all Brazilian players would like to join either Real Madrid or Barça.
Obs: Titulares is that show where they talked to 11 Latin American promising players, like Pato and Lucas. I watched it but I can't really remember what he said about Barcelona.

Do we need to go through this again? Why are Brazil required to play gung-ho to be recognized as "Brazil"? So everyone can play all-out defence against us but when we need to hold on to a lead or going to face tough opposition we still need to play "beautiful", offensive football? Quote:
