I always find it really strange how my dentist can understand what I'm saying when he's doing stuff.
He asked me if his motorbike was still in the car park when he had just turned a drill on last time I was there, to which I replied "I gowng uccin car ih ya byes ill err" and he leaned into view and said "well there's no need for language like that!" He's sound though, and I've never felt a thing there not matter what I was having done, even though it often sounded like I should be in total agony.
If you're worried about it get the sedation. Also after the extractions, try not to talk to anyone in shops directly after and almost spit blood on them. In my experience people don't seem to like that.

May aswell post in here. How long after a filling should it stop hurting? I was told by my dentist in can take 3 weeks for the nerve to settle down and stop being sensitive to hot/cold. I had mine filled about a month ago now, and although its never been sensitive to temperature, its still tender when i put a bit of pressure on it.
I went for a checkup other week and she said give it another month, and if its no better come back |

could be a number of things and without having a look clinically it would be hard to say.
however, if you can touch or tap the tooth with something solid yet the tooth is tender to bite on then it possibly suggests that the filling is high.
