we were also technically outclassed tonight, eurpean teams seem to be more talented technical footballers. We have no players like, Modric or Krancjar. Joe Cole is the only person who comes close but hes the only one out of the squad of 18 tonight.

| It's the journo's who seek the quotes from the players - almost giving them the rope to hang themselves which. With regards to the phrase I used - it was meant with regards to the players. Many are very happy to spout off to the media with what they are going to do, but when it comes to the crunch - they don't deliver. You'd think they'd have learned to keep their gobs shut by now. </BLOCKQUOTE>
just out of interest which papers do you buy/read?

Also, I think the FA should look at imposing a control on foreigners, nothing kneejerk like I'm sure the papers will be after tommorrow. But something in place that may help the young players coming through.

Nick
A proper coach. As i said in the match thread, really don't there's a lot more to it. We weren't an exciting team under Sven and i never thought we'd win things, but i also never saw the players uninterested like they were under McClaren.

| yeah we need more youngsters in the team, if players like Carson, Lescott, Richards, Wright-Phillips, Defoe got a chance then we might have qualified.

| Comparing McClaren to Mourinho tactically just utterly hilarious.
Mourinho wouldn't come anyway, but he'd solve problems. </BLOCKQUOTE>
yeah, mourinho has never played 451/433 with swp on the right and joe cole on the left

I dont know why the media say England underachieved as they qualified for the majour tournaments since 94 (apart from tonight) and finished in last 8 normaly and a few occasions last 4. Holland, Spain, Portrugal have not got a record like that so why do the media try make us believe if we dont win a trophy it is a failure?

Mabye if more English players were coming through there would be a bigger pool of talent to pick from.
