His position was untenable, i'm only surprised he didn't resign first, which would have been the decent thing to do.
I'm scared to think of how much money he'll get. 18 months into a 4-year contract? Going to be a lot  |

Why resign if you're contracted until 2010 at £2.5m a year?
That's a pretty hefty "decent" thing to do.
The FA appointed him, they can carry the can for sacking him.

England should go to Mourinho and offer him a lot of money to commit to the forthcoming World Cup campaign (and tournament if you qualify) then he can walk away or he might like it and stay.
It's possible he would be interested. Hope you appoint someone like Stuart Pearce though | |
