Could be the start of a good tradition? The six nation matches always generate great excitment so hopefully the same for football. Dont know what the club managers will have to say about it though :p

Anyone with sense knows why England won't take part.

If you want your players to learn they should play against good foreign opposition they wouldn't normally play.
The matches would be like any other in the league. Waste of time, but good for raising revenue I suppose.

Might as well have this take the place of the usual pointless friendlies we'll be playing next year, would at least make the international breaks more interesting

i think it will be quite good. Each nations could have a silghtly bigger squad so not every player need to play all 4 games.

I know alot of manager don't use friendlies properly but they should be used to get practice, in particluar against different styles.
I know Eng are reluctant and I think they are right.
R Irish , N Irish, Scot, Wales and Eng all play similar styles and ethos and most of the players play in the EPL.

It would be used to try to generate some money without being in the Euros. I am sure England can think of better places to tour to generate money.
When we missed out on Euro '84 we toured South America and John Barnes scored 'that' goal against Brazil. We might do something like that again this summer. No doubt with a fringe squad, couldnt really blame anyone on that. I'd rather we had a good long rest over the summer, England-wise for the players involved in the squad but you know the FA are plotting something to make some money as we speak
