Default Debate regarding the serving of ice in cold beverages

My friend and I are having a debate. Is it stingy to request no ice in your soft drink at every restaurant due to the ice filling up to much space in the glass (for that reason alone)?

you don't have to state that reason? If anyone asks, just say you have sensitive teeth...anyway, if they are that cheapskate they'll just not fill the container fully.

Bottomless drinks are clearly the way to go.

I always pour a drink with no ice when I work behind our bar unless asked otherwise.
