get onto III. They charge £10 per trade (buying/selling), but remember you need to pay stamp duty and capital gains (if you make enough profit p.a.).

I buy through halifax sharebuilder - good for long term investing not good for short term speculation. £2.50 per purchase but can only purchase on set days per month.

I use Selftrade. While it is £12.95 a trade, I got £50 for being recommended by a friend, he got £50 as well.
