As for the Coleman stuff, i really don't know where that is coming from. From what i've heard he's actually happy in Spain. The club are aware the playing staff are shocking and so aren't expecting an instant return, they know it's a long term project. There's been a few issues, like him staying out late then lying about it to the press when he was late for a press conference, but nothing really that suggests he wants to leave.
I thought the entire board had resigned? Thats why afaik. He's said he'll stay until the club hold elections in January, but he has no idea whether the new president will want him so won't commit any further. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Ah didn't know that bit. That happen in the last week? There was some talk that some Chinese consortium wanted to buy the club and that they don't want Coleman there. Will certainly be an interesting one to watch. General consensus in Spain at the moment seems that while he's not setting the league alight, he's doing the best he can with the resources at his disposal. </BLOCKQUOTE>

The Parrot is correct, the entire board that listened to Toshack and brought him in resigned last week due to the impending takeover.

If that goes through Coleman himself has said that he probably won't be there come the election on 3rd or 6th January iirc, that gives him five more games to do something special.

And I'll be honest, he's doing ok but just that, I would have expected him to be closer to the leaders when its still relatively early on. But the problem of last season remains that theres just a complete lack of creativity and goal scoring ability throughout the team. I mean, Delibasic came in on loan and took the number 9 vacated by the legend that is Darko Kovacevic, yet he only opened his account on Sunday in the 1-1 draw away at Nastic.

Would you welcome him as new manager then batch? </BLOCKQUOTE>

Absoloutely. McLeish was my first choice but i'm delighted with Bruce becoming manager. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Enjoy the flowing brand of negative 'we couldnt afford to go for the win' football that Bruce employs. Oh, and his constant negative whining etc.

We were going down with him in charge, and are probably going down anyway. Will be funny when Wigan go down with us too - two clubs in one season in the same division will be a great quiz question in years to come.

Always been surprised by how negative Brum fans are about Bruce. Seems to have done reasonably well for them in his time there, really. Fans do usually know best though when it comes to this sort of thing (that's not sarcastic).

Will be very interested to see how Birmingham get on if Eric Black takes over, absolutely loved his team when he was in charge of Coventry. Still bitterly angry about Peter Reid's appointment. Me and my Dad still bow to Eric when he appears in the background on match of the day, cult figure. would have to have a small buy of birmingham's points if he got the job permanently even though that's not really that sensible.

like the sky sports bruce picture by the way.

Apparently they can. If they will on the other hand thats a different matter.

However, this is birmingham city, and when do they ever do anything properly.

As for another post about poor brucie only wanting to secure his future and put bread and dripping on the table for his family, he had 2 years left on his contract, not 2 months. Thats a long time in football.

He was thinking about the compensation payments when he took brum down again and getting sack tbh thats all.

Yeah, I think Bruce has had to look out for himself here. Another Prem job, thinks he can keep them up (obviously) before tranfer window so may even get some cash in place of uncertainty and not sure if getting a new deal or not.

Why wait until New Year or whenever to find out if firstly you're getting a deal and also if this takeover is really happening as seems all over the place !

I was thinking that Bruce was picking up some points and might have the best chance of the promoted sides to stay up but reckon they're down now.

Said they didnt want Black to join him, maybe chuck him the managers job, i dont know if a higher profile manager would want to take over there at the moment
