Is this even a step up for Bruce? Perhaps he'll have more money to spend at Wigan and will no doubt be paid more (which I imagine is the main thing) but this strikes me as a step backwards.

bruce has either

a) sh*t himself that he was about to be sacked and, rather than have that on his cv, moved ship before it could happen

b) gone for the money

c) a combination of the above

in no way is it a step up, good appointment for wigan tho imo, blatantly going to win 1-0 at the 'bok in a few weeks

I honestly didn't see why brucie was bitching about his contract.

He had 2 years left almost - not 2 months, 2 years is a long time in football.

Guess he wanted another cheeky 5 years so if we sacked him when he got us relegated again we would of been stuck with him as our Jewish board wouldn't of paid out 3 million in compo for him.

Its also funny that as soon as Wigan say they will pay up his contract they didn't stand in his way, in fact I think Karren Brady was helping him pack his stuff up.
