we seem to get this every year somebody sees a Christmas themed ad on here - "omg ffs it's such and such month"

Thanksgiving is when the "holiday season" begins in the US, it usually seems to start quicker here because it's the biggest season for retail pretty much. So if November 23rd (that's 5 weeks on Tuesday to Christmas Day) is early what should be the time to start festivities then?

I reckon start/mid November is suitable, anything earlier is a bit too early - expecting to see December 1st though

The Coca Cola advert thing is more about what it symbolises than the advert itself. People tend to enjoy the atmosphere of the holiday season and that advert encapsualtes it quite nicely. Hardly something to get wound up about tbh, I dread to think what Ned's like if you talk to him about child poverty if this is what he's like about a random advert.

At least they don't always jump the gun with the Coke ad - at least I've only seen it very recently. Wouldn't be surprised to see it in October with the current trends.

Whats the name of the song used in the new Vodafone ad? Its the one with loads of people in a train station when the departures board flashes up with all trains being cancelled, causing a riot, only ONE MAN is smug enough to check the timetable on his phone and walks out calmly.
