if we're planning to play gerrard alongside sissoko in centre mid we might as well just forfeit the game now and let the squad get p1ssed on saturday instead.

Torres and Crouch upfront please.
What I'd like to see
Reina
Finnan Carra Sami (Agger?) Aurelio
Babel Gerrard Masch Kewell
Crouch Torres
(well, i'd like to see SG on the right and Momo and Masch in the middle but it isn't going to happen)
Quite possible he'll go with 4-3-3 with Alonso, Yossi, and Pennant all being injured. No doubt Riise will feature too.

I know everything points towards what Chris says happening, but for some reason I can see us putting ina good performance, which should be too much for Newcastle.
...Possibly because Torres is basically a cert to start after having the international window off, and Torres is ridiculously good.

I think this game is just one too early for a Kewell start, which is a pity, but it looks like we'll have to make do with Riise there again.
Has to be Crouch and Torres up front if we're going on form / awesomeness really.
