Yeah, just heard that now. Bit of a kicker, I'd imagine this is the only time of year that such a large amount would be there in cash

There was both shop money and season ticket money - thats the reason there was so much
Fair Dues to Mary Lennox, at 55 years old she chased him out of the shop down the side alley around the block and up another alley before she lost him!
Also hes been caught on cctv in one of those alleys- so hopefully he'll be caught

WTF were they doing with that much cash in the club shop? A little dodgy, like when Charlie Chawke got done a few years ago, non?

What Muller said. A superb composition, taken from the Harps forum:
Young Hegarty, your time has come
Young Hegarty your time has come
To lead us from this miserable slum
There’s no glory, no respect, there’s just derision
For teams that linger in the first division
The skills you’ve learned from your mentor Kenny
Will lift the spirits ‘round Sraid Navenny
You are the man who will inspire
The boys in blue to climb higher and higher
To the pretenders from midlands and county Louth
And teams from Munster, way down south
We’ll repulse whatever you throw at us
As Harps regain their Premier status.
When resolve does not meet your expectations
Use carrot and stick in your exhortations
If needs be invoke the legendary wrath
Of Patsy, the Ghost of Christmas past.
Send out a team that knows no fears
With clouds of steam flowing from their ears
Who fear not Bohs nor Ollie’s Shellies
With raging fires in their bellies
A team so skilful and athletic
They’ll easily demolish Pat’s Pathetic
Show no mercy to the hostile Muckers
Just humble those insufferable f..f..f..suckers
And having conquered all the rest
We’ll then take on Europe’s best.
Yes, Hegarty you are the man
A third millennium Genghis Khan
Who’ll wipe out Chelsea with consummate ease
And silence that loud-mouthed Portugese
And Arsing Vanker’s Arse ’n’ all
Will come to grief in Donegal
To crown it we will then depose
Sir Alex, the Scot with the Rudolph nose.
To all supporters, true and blue
I have one thing to say to you
Believe! Stand proud, dear Donegal
Hegarty's army will conquer all!

Nollaig Shona doibh*. I have a real job now so I won't be on OTF or in this thread much for the forseeable future. I am however disappointed that the 'Papist Slave State' title wasn't used.
The only Eircom league news I have is that I had Cork City utility man Brian O'Callaghan round my house last week. Uh, he's smaller than you'd think. That's it really.
Ooh, and I found the perfect present for all self-respecting fans of Eircom league sides. WCR - your copy is in the post.

"'CELTIC - THE IRISH CONNECTION' begins with the Great Irish famine of 1845-51. In the space of only a few short years, the Famine killed one million people in Ireland and a million more emigrated as refugees. 100,000 of these displaced Irish escaped to a new life in Scotland, mainly to the Glasgow and Lanarkshire areas of the west."
What the fcuk?! They consider themselves Famine FC or something?
Best of luck in the new job snipers
And ofc Merry Christmas all.
