Pat Fenlon resigns as manager of Derry City after just five months in the job

Pat Felon has resigned as manager of Eircom Premier Division club Derry City after just five months in the job.

The former Shelbourne boss, who took over from Stephen Kenny at the Brandywell, has yet to announce the reasons for his decision.

Derry have struggled at the start of their first season under Fenlon and the Candystripes lie fifth in the league, 11 points behind leaders St Pat's.

City could only manage a draw with basement club Longford

Is it true that Shamrock Rovers have invited taxi drivers to go to their next home game for free?

Yeah, every cab driver in Dublin is quick to tell anyone that they used to be big Rovers fans before the move from Milltown. It's a bit of a long running joke how many of them claim to have been die hard Hoops whilst in Milltown, but have supposedly drifted away after leaving there.
So in a bid to get them to stfu the club have offered free entry to our game with Cork to anyone presenting a valid taxi drivers license

Good bit of marketing by the club there - very lateral thinking

I might as well close this thread now fellas - I've been branded a tan who knows nothing of the League.

May as well turn in my Bohs Membership as well and start following a Premiership club down the pub

Dundalk beat Shels 3-0 and are now a massive eighteen points ahead of us in the table. Could do with embarking on an unbeaten run of games in similar fashion to that of Cobh's and hope in earnest that Dundalk slip on a few bananas. Can't see either happening though.
