Yet more poaching of Irish players by middling Scottish clubs. You'd think the cautionary tale of Wes Hoolahan would have taught them better. Can't understand why you'd sign Keegan, a 30-something journeyman striker whose best days are well behind him. Billy Boy though may be a scumbag, but will still always be a Hoop. I wish him well, and he should do grand job for a club like Motherwell even if he is also pushing 30.

Oh, yeah, I lied about that. Hard to believe you thought someone like Dolan who demands enormous wages would be the new boss of a cash strapped mediocre First Division club, Aslan.

Keego - legend and a gent - sad to see him leave the League

Hope you have decent dealers up in Motherwell for Molloy if the rumours are to be believed...

Keegan's a class act when in form, still can't believe a SPL club have signed him up though. Anyone know if they were free transfers?

Let me say hello to ya all...

I have been tryin to sign up to foot.ie..but the admin are takin their time approving me lol..

I am surprised with the shake up of the league for next season and very baffled on how they managed to put the teams into the 2 leagues..

Would it have been funny if one of the European qualifiers went into the First Division?...

I do think the stuff about Limerick is totally out of order..Surely the whole thought process of the FAI is to "promote" football acorss Ireland.. not to take it away and destory it..

Hello.

Foot.ie is sh¦te, hang about here instead.

Very funny indeed.

Limerick needed a good kick up the arse ages ago, perhaps the FAI should have acted then with warnings and what not but they cannot make any more of a mockery of the licensing system by letting in a club who are without anything resembling a stadium, for details on that see Muller's post above.

And indeed they owe quite a substantial amount of money, which I believe is the main reason for their license rejection.

I was chatting to Luca last week and he says the lads are extremely excited about playing in Europe, and that they are particularly excited to be rejoining himself once again.

I have high hopes for the lads, especially for Phuist whose description is along the lines of a skilful, Nazi-like mentalcase.

Anyone here ever meet Mad Tom Symmonds? </BLOCKQUOTE>

Yeah he's tried to engage me in conversation once or twice, didn't see him at the Cross much last season though. In Cork we know him as 'Tom the Gom'

That's a tad disrespectful though. I've 'engaged' in conversation with him a few times in the past, well engaged as in just nodding to whatever he uttered since I hadn't a notion of what he was saying. That was before I came to know he's famous too.

Jim Crawford has turned down Shels' offer - looking bad for them it seems

Pretty sure they where free.

I know Danny Murphy's deal was done back at the end of July, was just never announced as not to upset the side's season.

Molloy and Keegan where also minimal fee's. We are not in the position to be paying any sort of transfer fee's, so i'd assume they where very little, if even that.

All of them will make their debut's for Motherwell against Rangers at Fir Park on January 2nd.

Live on Setanta.
