don't believe we did for that, but the e&s says we have a sell on clause if reading do sell him on. also reported that the signing of darren ward should be completed tomorrow. which i am happy about, i think.

I honestly can't see the point in this. He has no pace, is supposedly on big wages at Palace, and being kept out of their team by Cort and Hudson. Most Palace fans are glad to see the back of him.

Charlton have signed 2 very good under 21 international defenders this week for £100k less than we're getting Ward for.

We're supposedly still looking to bring in a pacey central defender on loan meaning we'll have 6 fighting for 2 places, so unless he's shipping Breen and Craddock out this summer surely the money will better spent elsewhere (upping our bid for Sharp for example)

I think its pretty safe to say after Breen's performances in the latter part of last season, MM won't be looking to use him much. Craddock's probably still a useful player to have in the squad but obviously pace and age is a big issue. Breen though, even though he was fantastic for the first 3/4 months of the season, is clearly past it now.

breen was carcrash last few months. tbf, redwoods and collins looked pretty useful.

I would have fancied our chances a lot more with Edwards and Collins in the middle against Albion in the playoffs. I dont think it would have made THAT much difference at their place, but at Molineux when were on top for much of the game and they were hitting us on the break, thats when it showed that we really missed the solid partnership that those two had formed.

I've seen fans on other sites say Ward isn't quick, nor consistent. And he nearly went for £50k (not £500k) in January. Which concerns me.

Well Sharp is going to Sheff Utd, as my Sheff Weds mates have feared all along. So that's that saga over with. It's almost a relief, though I'd rather he'd come to the Mol.

Now it's a case of whether we can land Eastwood, I suppose. He'd be my second choice player wise but at least he's clearly stated he wants to come to us.
