he's 6'4". mm sees him as a different option up front (i.e. target man).

Well we have now signed Matt Jarvis (21) from Gillingham, on a compensation only deal as he was out of contract. Can play left wing and central midfield. He made the L1 team of the season last year apparently.
Seems like another of MM's young hungry crew. I don't know him but it/he seems decent enough on paper.

| Yeh, he's young, got a good future ahead of him. Celtic had a £500,000 bid rejected not long ago.
He's got an amazing first touch and can hold the ball up suprisingly well, with him looking as skinny as he does, but looks strong on the ball. Good at heading aswell.

Well it sounds like he can do what Carl Cort couldnt do, which is always a good start.

lafferty is like crouch, tall but never a target man. your bid has been rejected anyway, it will take nearer 3 to 4 million id imagine which i doubt you will stretch to.

3 to 4 million? Erm why? When Billy Sharp is going for no more than £2m?

£3-4m is ridiculous. He scored 4 goals last season ffs. Even if he does have some talent and promise (which presumably he does) I'd still only say you were talking £750-800k, on the basis that Celtic tried their hand with £500k. Bear in mind that Keogh cost an initial £500k, with I think up to the same again in bonuses and the like. And he can score and create goals, and hold up the ball, and link play.
I never thought Cort was too bad as a target man. His problem was his abysmal fitness record. And Hoddle playing him as a winger. I mean, wtf was Glenda thinking?
still impressed with the Jarvis signing. It sounds like we beat several other clubs to get him. Wp Moxey.
