| Still settling in. Looks like a semi-decent right back but the games I've seen him in his passing has been wayward. Time will tell.
Matt - they played well at Hillsbrough; were on top for most of the game. It was only when Sheff Weds had a charge towards the end that they were really on top. Only one game though, and it may be significant that it was an away match.

Craddock's back now, having been recalled from loan. But he's hardly the pacey DC we need to balance out Darren Ward (for me, ahead of Collins, Edwards and then Breen). There were rumours of Gary Cahill coming in on loan from Villa, but he's gone to Sheff U instead. Git.
Denes Rosa (!) is scoring freely int he reserves and could play ML. Think it would be worth a try - as preferable to Stephen Ward - but I can't see it happening. MM conceding he's made two errors in a week? No chance. Imo, he needs to play people in their natural positions, and look at who is out of form with a view to replacing them for now, or possibly permanently. It doesn't sound like rocket science, but it may as well be considering how well we're doing right now.
I hope the fans keep the faith, and don't start turning on the team like they usually do.

| we had the "only one jody craddock" on tuesday. but no doubt he will get slagged if he 'fails to perform' basically the whole defence appear to be hated by portions of the south bank.
tbf, it was clear we needed pace in the defence, and it was clear we needed a good leftback, not just anyone that mick has managed before who happens to have played in that position.

weeeeeeeell. much better today. first half we totally overran norwich. two good finishes from foley and keogh. not entirely sure about dropping eastwood (always our most likely scorer) for elliott, who missed two pretty easy chances (especially one in the first half).
defence was pretty much untroubled throughout, about the only shot i recall the opposition having, went for a throwin. both of their second half red cards were entirely justified. in the end, 2-0 was a bit unsatisfying given the extent of out domination, plus us playing the last 15 minutes against nine men. got the impression that mick was a bit miffed at the end. good play though, and fair do's to micky gray, who had an excellent game.

I'm glad to see Keogh getting a goal, and it's good to be back to winning ways. Now let's see how we do in the next match.
I agree with you zink about 2-0 only being ok in the circumstances. Were we missing chances, or not creating clear enough openings?
And you're right about the defensive situation. Leeds fans I spoke to last year said that Michael Gray was one of few highlights for them in an awful season. Whether that means he's good enough for a promotion chasing team is another question.
Still, onwards and hopefully upwards.

elliott certainly had a couple of good chances from pretty close in, but got no proper sort of contact on either. kightly spooned one over and wide, and keogh skewed one high and wide, rather like an effort he missed against hull. beyond that, i don't recall too much clean cut, but there were endless corners, crosses, final balls which might have found a man.
i bet we had literally 80% of the ball.
