he (mcindoe) stated that he didn't fit in with our style of play, yet we clearly base our game around wingers. if he doesn't feel he performed, one would have to say it aint no one elses fault.

Well I agree but the weird thing is he did fairly well for us. I thought he had performed. I know he was overshadowed by Kightly, but he still was an asset to the team. Worked up and down the wing, did well with assists.

There's a piece by John Bray about this on the BBC site here if you haven't seen it.

purchase of stephen elliot almost complete. sounds like he's ok if we can get him fit.

Aye, just saw it on the os. Bit undecided on this. Can no doubt do the job at this level, but his injury record is a bit worrying. If we're getting him on the cheap then it's not too bad, have a nasty feeling the 'undisclosed fee' may be a substantial one though.

only thing I'm thinking now is we have eastwood, keogh, bothroyd, ward, johnson and now probably elliott as well. johnson's on the transfer list but that still leaves us with five "first team" strikers. eastwood and keogh will be the most likely strike pairing to start with, and when he comes in bothroyd can practically win games on his own if he has his head right. obviously mccarthy sees something in elliott, so I'm thinking ward will be the one to lose out.

most likely. don't recall what we paid for him, but i would assume we will make a profit if we decide to sell him at any point. mick does seem to go off strikers very quickly.

I bought a copy of the Big Issue from that Jermaine Johnson yesterday...

My guess is he'll loan Ward out, but who knows? The McCarthy works in mysterious ways at times.
