Which do you think is the best console at the moment and in 5 years time which will be the best one?
I think at the moment it`s the 360 for obvious reasons, more games are out for it and online play is better, the only downside is you have to pay for going online.
I feel the playstation 3 will eventually overtake the 360, it`s already been said that ps3 is 3 times faster than the 360 and the fact that the XB only has a standard dvd rom to play 4.7GB discs where as the PS3 uses 25GB single layer and 50 when they come out.
I wonder how many discs games like gta would need on the XB not that it`ll be coming out on it but on the PS3 it`ll be one.
The online side will also get better especially when home comes out and you don`t have to pay which is a big plus.
If fm ever comes out on PS3 i wouldn`t even need a pc, just get a keyboard and mouse and i`m set.
Best at the moment is probably the 360 due to the fact it's been out longer and has a stronger catalogue of games.
As for 5 years time. Who knows. Both are capable of being strong consoles. The differences between them aren't big enough for one to easily and comfortably be massively ahead of the other.
I have a wii and am a bit meh towards it aside from SMG which just rules.
I do not have a PS3 but will be getting one when the price drops a bit more and the back catalogue looks a bit more sturdy.
Getting consoles in their first few months of release usually does just end up in disappointment IMHO.
Nonetheless if forced to answer I suspect that the PS3 will, by sone's standards, be a flop despite the fact that it is far and away the most future-proof console atm, and will be the only one even remotely worth having in 5 years' time.
I own both fwiw and enjoy both. 360 has by far and away the best interface, if I was to put it in context the 360 would be more like a mobile phone whereas the PS3 is more of an iPod, make of that what you will.
