FWIW I love my 360, really happy with my purchase, the only thing missing for me is an F1 game, hopefully that will change soonish though.
In 5 years, who knows, PS3 obviously has plenty of things going for it but I think they may have made too many errors in it's early life to be dominant. Certainly will be much closer than the last gen wars.

Fair enough, I wouldn't mind playing some of my old PSX games too tbf, was thinking about parappa the rapper the other day, what a fb game that was.

The 360 is best at the moment if you want a next generation console which actually has some decent (Next generation) games on it. Also its Live service is vaaasssstly better than either of its competitors.
In 5 years? The 360 will probably be replaced by then, the PS3 may not be, although if it continues the way it is Sony are going to have to, seeing that its the worst selling console again this month.
Anyone who mentons that the PS3 is vastly better graphically. You just have to look at Assassins creed, its very bad graphically in comparison to the 360 version according to reviews, the lag on bringing up background graphics even makes the game hard to play. (Bear in mind this is IGN, Kotaku & Destructoid saying this not just me)
For me, buy a 360 & a Wii, the Wii is just so much damn fun, and with Mario Galaxy, Metroid & games like Warioware, Paper Mario and Zelda, it has the best games in my opinion. The 360 allready has it all, the PS3 only has the potential still, of which after a whole year, its not met.

360 is better as it has better games, better online system and the programmers are finding it difficult to programme games for the playstation 3.

Only 2 game developers have remembered how to make good games so they're all pretty average tbh. If GTA was on the Nintendo it would clearly be that.
