i am just in the process of selling my wii that i havent plaed on in about 3 months. then intend to buy a 360, purely because it is cheaper than a ps3 and has a good few games out for it already. i dont want to wait for games to come out in the future (with the wii and ps3) and so im getting what i know has good games already.

The Wii :
Best 1st party, best party games (Although Rock band may give it a run for its money), best console for "Everyone" to play, Cheapest.
The 360 :
Best catalogue of current "Next Gen" games, best online play, Vista compatibility (Meaning the whole use of the Media center, and potential compatibility of Live on both PC & console.)
The PS3 :
Most Potential, best back catalouge of games (Although only with the more expensive PS3), Blueray... (This could be a good feature or a flaw, we wont know until we find out which console wins. Its certainly not a good reason to buy a gaming console.)
There are my notes on the "Why to get this console" theres obviously lots of ones against each as well.

I would love the wii to hav some good titles, we have one in my house, Ive literally never played it. The thing is, I think there is a few games that th developer has thought of an intuitive way to implement the motion technology, but most titles seem like they have a basic game, and then tack on the motion part and it just seems a bit clumsy

Thing is with party games is I think "yeah that'd be class for having mates around" but in reality how often am I actually inviting a huge group of people over to my house, and 2 how often are they going to be like "yeah, lets go over to Mackers' house to play wii sports"

I really dont get the best back catalogue argument, like I paid £300 to play th absolute cutting edge in games, not play titles that were cutting edge in 1997. Sure its a nice bonus to be able to play castlevania for a cheap download, its certainly not an incentive to buy. The reason people buy PS3's and 360's is because they want something better than what they already have surely?

And i hope best party games stands for Wii Sports.
Stuff like Mario Party is f**king awful. I know no-one who drools enough to play that, or something they ruined like Warioware.

| if you really enjoy a game, why disregard it completely just because it's not cutting edge?

| I know, I was thinking of things to put in, to be fair I only could really think of "most potential" as a proper reason to buy the console. The other two are just worthless imo.

| Myself and my uni mates played Warioware and wii sports for about 2 weeks on and off (I left the wii in the halls kitchen, it was good fun to play when drunk and back from a club etc)
