Well, they've expanded the championship to 64 players so they've had to squeeze the first round of 32 matches in before Christmas; they have seeded it so the big players are up against qualifiers, but that hasn't done the likes of Colin Lloyd and Steve Beaton much good so far.

what a shock eh with Jaws going out. Really cant see anybody challenging Taylor now, although he could well have a tough game if Mark Dudbridge does the business to get to the 3rd rd where the two of them would meet iirc. Also Priestley is on the other side of the draw so we could have a final that will be rolling back the years, Part though could also have a say.
