I will be at work tomorrow, returning home around half 10. I want to set my PC up to record MOTD2, and put it into some sort of hibernation/sleep mode so power usage is minimal whilst I'm out.
I've downloaded a program that wakes my PC up from hibernation, but as my admin account is password protected it asks for that and hence is a bit useless. Does sleep mode do the same and how much power does that use?
Before anyone says it I can't remove the password as otherwise Windows Media Center won't work properly.
My boss NEVER turns his laptop off, EVER. He even has it on during his comute to work, and it's never broken down, etc, so I assume computers are ok left on 24/7?
