| Yeah Anderson was immense, pushed Taylor all the way in the semi-final, but that was about it from the BDO side and he's their number 1 ranked player.

| well yes, but obviously that's purely a factor based on the actual sport, and not the sportsman.

| Absolutely, Hendry took snooker to a new level and was undoubtedly the king of the nineties. He has declined over the last couple of years though, he just doesn't win frames at one visit anymore like he used to do so regularly.
Still ranked 8th in the world and among the elite of the game though. Just not as consistent as in his heyday.

indeed, he was probably the first player to win frames consistently in one visit, now that's the minimum requirement to winning a tournament.

Good shout on Johnson by the way, can't see his WR's ever being broken by anyone.
I know Borg was pretty dominant with Tennis but I think that was more like 7 or 8 years?
Federer will no doubt surpass anything anyone has ever done in Tennis.

His 400m record will be broken 1 day, but I just can't see his 200m record ever being beaten by anyone

Snooker is weird at the moment though, it's just waiting for someone to really assert themselves as the number 1. After Davis, Hendry, then a few years with Hendry/Higgins/ROS/Williams all slugging it out, nobody has really taken a grip over the sport in that way over the last few years.
Have a horrible feeling that Murphy is going to be the man to do it if anyone, he's clearly going to win the world title again imo. Probably more than once.

Ronnie had the ability to dominate for years and years like Hendry did, but not the mental ability unfortunately.

Thank God. I'd have stopped watching long ago if that had happened
Out of interest, without looking do you know the last time when ROS won a ranking event? I don't know how much of a snooker fan you are so apologies if it is obvious.

Ronnie still has the ability to take it to another level, I don't know when his Dad is due to come out of prison but I dont thik its to far away is it?
I think that will give him the motivation he needs to fully step it up, he should realy be more grateful for the talent he's been given, his ability to play with both hands the way he does is also pretty incredible.
