But Bahia got promotion today for next year's 2nd Division and Vitória was promoted to Second Division in 2006 and to the 2008's first division this year.

My comment was merely a reflection of the jumped up numpties at Sky and the UK press in general, who clamber on this sort of thing and use it to make English football look great, etc and anything foreign completely inferior. Even the Sunday Times were bordering on xenophobia this morning in their clamour for Harry Redknapp to be England manager ahead of Capello et al.
