Hang on. If their letter is dated yesterday, wouldn't that mean you would've had to have posted your letter... before the match on Wednesday?!
I'd call shenanigans on this, but I don't see why you'd bother faking it.

If you were the FA and were inundated with letters of this nature that all must have arrived by pigeon on thursday, would you reply to them?

Clearly, this is a fake, and a bad one at that. Some glaring errors:
1. Professionally, you will be known as Mr. Jamie Gibson and not Jamie Gibson.
2. The subject line should be : Re: England Man....
3. It should say Thank you for contacting the English Football....(and not just the FA!!!)
Amongst other things which can be brought out if someone actually scrutinizes it further.
