In celebration of their 1st entry to a major tournament, here is Montenegro's awesomely ominous-sounding national anthem!

OZ *should* get through, that said they were shocking in the Asian Cup.

China have gone a bit crap havent they ?
Qatar i know a few years ago were spending £££££££££'s on football but i'm not sure if that ever paid of with an improvement of their national side.
Iraq well, they're pretty ffb, all things considered </BLOCKQUOTE>

Yes, China is pretty average-ish, IIRC they were eliminated in the group stage in the Asian Championship.

Qatar is pretty awful, I think.

Iraq is decent, but they have a new coach now, and they probably won't be alloed to play at home.

We will slay you this time as we will have a manager.

South African organisers of this bloated mess are obviously racist as well, almost everybody is black ffs! </BLOCKQUOTE>

Your both wrong... Bulgaria...and Georgia will do far better then both Ireland and Cyprus ffs... </BLOCKQUOTE>

Georgia are awful away from home, Bulgaria are nothing great. Montenegro are an untried quanity, but only one ro two of their players could get into the old Serbia-Montenegro squad.

Ireland has a very good mixture of experienced talent (Robbie Keane, Given, Dunne) and young players (Doyle, Ireland, McShane), we should really aim for and get second in that group. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Donadoni agree's with me!

Quote:
Bulgaria have more of a football tradition than the others and could be the team that on paper will try to compete with us for first place,” said the Coach.
It's hard to argue that Bulgaria will struggle during a WC qualification. I think they'll be up for it and lets not forget they almost qualified for Euro 2008...R.o.I didn't even come close...

The times I've seen Montenegro they seemed alright and as Donadoni has said they have good technique. Ireland I really don't know what they do well at but yes they have a few names that they can throw out but unless your an EPL fan the name won't mean much to anyone...

Honestly the way I look at it...It will probably end up with the classification of,

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">1st)Italy 2nd)Bulgaria3rd)Republic of Ireland4th)Georgia5th)Montenegro6th)Cyprus</pre>

Greece didn't have much tradition either.

Ireland and Bulgaria are pretty much even in quality, and in the euros qualifying, we had about the worst manager in the whole world. Hopefully we will get a good manager now.

Europe

The European qualification games will start in September 2008. The 53 national teams will be divided into eight groups of six teams, and one group of five. The nine group winners will qualify directly and the best eight runners-up will play home and away play-off matches for the remaining four places

Eight groups of six teams and one group of five will contest the European qualifying competition for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The nine group-winners will qualify directly, while the highest ranked eight of the nine second-placed teams will contest home and away play-off matches for the remaining four places. In determining the rank of second-placed teams, only results against those finishing 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th will be counted for consistency between the five and six team groups.

At least he has WC experience.

But he never managed in Asia before becoming Iraq's manager.
