if Villa finish below Newcastle and Portsmouth I will sever my ears and nose off, force them up my arse and sew up the whole with a blunt needle.

Tbqh Portsmouth are a very good outfit now.
Benjani, Utaka, Krancjar, Muntari, Bouba Diop, all very good players.
Add in David James and Sol Campbell's experience.

Newcastle better than Villa on paper, but ultimatley a lot, lot worse.

Theres a reason its called current form too.

We've got 3 away games in the north during the coldness of december, no way we're getting out of that alive.

City to bring in Baptista in January (yep, that's winter. In Manchester) and it all to fall apart tbh.

So what we might have a 'big 5'. Won't be more interesting for those 6th and below at all.
haha, pathetic example. everton didn't get in the cl, liverpool did. it was the exact same top 4 getting the cl money. and big 5 doesn't make much sense over anything other than the short term because there's no real money involved in finish fifth to keep that as the status quo.

if chelsea finish 5th for a few years, they'll still have enough money to be ahead of everyone else, same goes for Liverpool, United and probably Arsenal too, even if they don't so what? we have a different top 4, does it make any difference? not really.
