At the start of the season everyone assumed United/Chelsea/Liverpool/Arsenal would be the top four. They will be. Now I haven't heard any viable suggestions about how this can be changed, and I don't see it as a big a problem as others, but I can see why people would think it was a bit stale/boring.

I just don't see how it's better for the league, I doubt whoever finishes 18th/19th/20th will give a flying ****, nor anyone else for that matter. The whole theory that as soon as someone breaks the top 4 it will make it easier for everyone else is just ridiculous, didn't happen when Everton did it, and it certainly won't happen if City did it, would just mean one more club with a big stadium, lots of funds and lots of revenue getting CL revenue added to it. So what we might have a 'big 5'. Won't be more interesting for those 6th and below at all.

Yes, and I believe they will.
My prediction at this stage of the season is that the table will look something like this come May:
1. Man United
2. Arsenal
3. Chelsea
4. Man City
5. Liverpool
6. Everton
7. Pompey
From 8th to 14th (in any order) will be Newcastle, West Ham, Aston Villa, Spurs, Reading, Blackburn, Bolton
15. Boro
16. Sunderland
17. Birmingham
--------------------
18. Fulham
19. Derby
20. Wigan
Guaranteed to be wrong tbh, but I like to stick my neck out.

so you want 5 dominant teams rather than 4? that'll mean you'll be fighting for 6th in the future, not 5th. How does it help you?
