borrowed my dads few week ago to go to football and using it again on wed but tbh didnt think it was that good for £350.

saying that i quite fancy one for myself but obv wouldnt wanna be spending too much on it.

anyone tried a few diff brands out or is tomtom as good as it gets?

Not worth it for the regular driver imo, simple as that.

Used one for the first time this weekend to go from Huddersfield to Stoke. Could have probably figured it out myself but it was good to have one 'just in case'.

We live in the best signposted country in Europe, yet people still need satnavs?! :thdn: I have a pretty good grasp of English geography and where places are/how I could get to them, so it's not hard.

oh, and i got from london to stuttgart without bloody satnav, so if i couldn't get to stoke i'd be in trouble

Good to have as a backup, but only as good as the software on your map itself. Some versions are chronically old and will direct you down closed roads etc.

If you don't drive to new places very much, I really wouldn't bother. AA maps ftw :thup:

I don't know how we survived with all these modern new fangle gadgets.

Semaphore and rough sketch drawn on a napkin worked just a well for me.

im guessin by the responses that hardly any1 has even used it never mind tried a few diff brands. can pick them quite cheap now and im tempted.
