Politically, I say... just come across another utterly bonkers site: http://www.conservapedia.com with more of the Right's wild shrieking about a liberal bias in the US presumably with a particularly fatuous remark on it's ancestor Wiki:
Quote:
"Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia founded by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger on January 15, 2001. Despite its official "neutrality policy", Wikipedia has a strong liberal bias - especially on focal points relating to the Culture war. It has millions of entries on topics ranging from an explanation for "duh"[1] to singles by obscure rock bands[2] to arcane British royalty.
and
Wikipedia has tried to balance the Utopian goal of "an encyclopedia anyone can edit" with the more utilitarian goal of "a website anyone would want to read". With over a million articles, and a rulebook almost as dense, Wikipedia has demonstrated an insatiable desire to participate, create lists and generate procedures. The result is a huge silo of recorded trivia, and perhaps the world's largest, most distributed bureaucracy - mostly manned by a casual staff of teenagers and the unemployed."
furthermore citations apparently shouldn't use sources that date with BCE or CE because it denies the historical root of JC, and 'obscene' postings including those contradictory to the mandate of this site will result inprosecutions and jail sentences of up to ten years
Utterly bonkers, I'd swear it was a hoax if I didn't know better.
Anyway, thought I'd use the following debate as a flimsy excuse to post the above.
Liberal bias in the media? Y/N
or should it be worded retarded bias with a heavy slant on trashy crap rather than actual news in the media?
by liberal anything that's not fully in support of the Religious Right's view of the world then yes, though I'm not sure as I think leftist is censored that side of the pond :/
